Al-Sultan, Badmann Win Ironman Hawaii

Racing in near perfect conditions, German triathlon star Faris Al-Sultan won his first Ironman world title with a time of 8:14:17--the fastest time on this course since 1996.
“I only knew [that I would win] when I was two miles from the finish line,” said Al-Sultan. “I didn’t want to shake hands with anyone before because I was so afraid [of Reid catching him].”
Defending champ Natascha Badmann, who at 38, inspires all of us who are pushing 40, won her sixth Kona title in 9:09:30.
